Angling Profile

Have been a Angler most of my adult life, concentrating mainly on large waters for big Bream,Tench and Carp. discovered commercial carp fisheries around 8 years ago and have not looked back since. Have had some very successful winter league results at Decoy Lakes over the past 3 years, and hopefully with the help of the GOT Anglers {TOP BLOKES} will possibly be able to progress on  to more consistent result all year round.

Quick Guide

Bream on the Method Long Range [60 acre + lake]

Groundbait - Micro Pellet, Ground trout pellet & Provimi 66
mix 50%micro pellet [well soaked], 20% ground trout pellet[medium oil] & 30% provimi 66
Hook Baits -  red maggot, caster or 6mm expander pellets

The rig is very simple, 6lb real line, a 15g coil method feeder {inline} with a rig bead directly underneath, a 6 inch hooklength with a size 16 hook, my preference is the  Drennan barbless carp spade or eyed depending on baits.the real line and hooklength are attached with a small swivel, normally a size 18.

First hour of the session would be spent casting large egg sized method balls every 2 - 3 minute or until regular bites developed, the reason for this is simple, to hold a big shoal of bream you need a lot of feed, at distances over 90 yards I personally have more faith in my casting skills than I do in my skills with a catapult so regular casting is imperative.

I always prepare several hooklenghts of various lengths, some with hairs other with out simply because you will have to experiment with hook baits to find the most productive on any given day.

This method has produced many 100lb plus weights for me on many different venues in both match and pleasure situations.
