Michael 'Skip' McCabe

 I have been fishing for 20 years, the highlight being a section win, and third in individual in the national on the Basingstoke canal with 27lb of skimmers, I have also had four lake wins in the VDE and Parkdene masters, as well as 4 match wins on polawyn on my family holidays.

The biggest weight at Polawyn was 185lb which is my biggest weight to date, I have also had 9 ton weights on different waters, and recently I beat the lake record by more then 100lb on merchant taylors boating lake with 167lb of Bream all on the feeder.

I have always classed myself as a canal angler foremost, but like everyone else I have moved over to more and more commercial fishing, which I enjoy (almost) as much.
